Benjamin Solomon "Ben Carson", Sr. is a retired American neurosurgeon. Born in Detroit, Michigan, and a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Medical School has officially dropped out of the 2016 presidential race.

The former popular Born in Detroit, American neurosurgeon made the announcement during Friday’s Conservative Political Action Conference. Carson has also been named the new chairman of My Faith Votes, a Christian group dedicated to getting out the vote in November.
"Even though I might be leaving the
campaign trail, you know there’s a lot of people who love me, they just
won’t vote for me. But I will still continue to be heavily involved in
trying to save our nation,” Carson said on Friday.
